What is Ginger?


Ginger is a Mandarin Learning Centre for kids from ages 2-16 years old. We also cater to adults who are interested in learning how to converse in Mandarin for business or daily use.

In Ginger, children are encouraged to learn Mandarin through a relaxed and informal environment in class at all times. Display of Chinese characters everywhere - posted on doors, chairs, bookshelves, etc. helps in ‘absorbing’ Mandarin effortlessly.

With our well trained, passionate and energetic teachers, the children have ample opportunities to listen to the language through singing, clapping, jingling or reading stories with short repetitive phrases. We provide fun activities and intensive and interactive lessons which prepare them to be ahead of school.

Discovery Programme

For 2 - 4 years.
To cultivate an interest and build an age-appropriate vocabulary in Mandarin and improve their attention span.

Explorer Programme

Explorer 1 - For 2 - 4 years.

To further enhance interest in learning Mandarin, introduce written stroke, basic conversation skill and build a good foundation.


Explorer 2 - For 5 - 6 years.

To improve on their speaking skills, basic recognition and writing of Chinese strokes and characters.


Achiever Programme

Achiever 1 - For 6 - 7 years.

To strengthen their vocabulary along with conversation drills in Mandarin with correct intonation as well as practice in writing skills.


Achiever 2 - For 7 - 8 years.

In depth preparation for improving their writing skill of Mandarin characters and pronunciation with correct intonation.


Primary Mandarin Programme

For 6 - 15 years.
To complement their Chinese Learning at School and provide support.

Adult Conversation Class

To acquire and apply Mandarin language in daily conversation or business use.
